Assessment and Reporting
Student learning will be assessed using the Australian Curriculum framework.
Our student reports meet the requirements of the State Government plain-language student reports for South Australian public schools. This means that our reports:
- are provided in writing with descriptive comments twice a year
- use plain English that is easy to understand
- include A – E achievement levels for student learning (linked to our criteria based MYIB Levels 1 – 8 in years 8 to 10)
- provide a professional assessment of each student’s progress and achievement.
Pastoral care:
Pastoral care is central to the total school environment at Roma Mitchell Secondary College and addresses the diverse needs of our school community and their well-being both individually and as a whole.
We have three formal Pastoral Care workers, but our entire teaching team is resolute in their determination to build a sense of community, harmony and cohesion.
We understand our young people often face challenges and our pastoral care is focused on developing confidence, optimism and resilience.
