Assessment and Reporting

Student learning will be assessed using the Australian Curriculum Framework.

Our student reports meet the requirements of the State Government plain-language student reports for South Australian public schools. This means that our reports:

  • are provided in writing with descriptive comments each term
  • use plain English that is easy to understand
  • provide a professional assessment of each student’s progress and achievement in relation to the Negotiated Education Plan (NEP) goals set.

Pastoral care:

Pastoral care is central to the total school environment at Roma Mitchell Secondary College and addresses the diverse needs of our school community and their well-being both individually and as a whole.

We have three formal Pastoral Care workers, but our entire teaching team is resolute in their determination to build a sense of community, harmony and cohesion.

We understand our young people often face challenges and our pastoral care is focused on developing confidence, optimism and resilience
