Regular homework for all students will be set, monitored and assessed by teachers in years 8-12.

Years 8 and 9 students will have between 45 and 90 minutes of homework per night. Years 10 and 11 students will have between 90 and 120 minutes per night. Year 12 students will need to complete about 180 minutes outside of class time to be successful, particularly if they are seeking tertiary entrance.

Special Education students or students with special needs will have modified expectations, negotiated with parents and caregivers. All parents and caregivers are encouraged to contact the relevant Head of Campus about any homework queries or concerns.

Homework Club

We offer a Homework Club in the Library every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Tuesday and Thursday from 3.30pm until 4.30pm and on Wednesday 2.30pm until 3.15pm.

During these sessions, students from each campus and year level can attend and receive support with their learning.

This homework session provides a time for students to work on homework tasks with additional support and access to resources. This is an opportunity for students to follow up with their teachers to clarify understanding or extend learning in specific areas.

We have a regular Aboriginal Homework Centre in the Taikurrinthi Kuu Room Aboriginal Education every Tuesday afternoon from 3.20pm until 4.30pm, starting 4 February 2020. The dates for 2020 are as follows:

Term 1: Start 4 February 2020 Finish 31 March 2020
